Don’t Copy, If You Can’t Paste

The inspirational speaker on stage said with a flourish:

“Best years of my life were spent in the arms of a woman, who wasn’t my wife.”

The audience froze in shock and silence.

He added: “She was my mother.”

A big round of applause and laughter.

A daring husband tried to crack this at home.

After dinner, he said loudly to his wife of thirty years washing dishes in the kitchen:

“Best years of my life were spent in the arms of a woman, who wasn’t my wife”

When he regained his senses, he saw himself surrounded by women in the white, and journeying on a gurney.
